Turning Science into Impact

Five research projects across biochemistry, materials engineering, plant science, neuroscience, and AI in education.

01

CDC14 Serine Phosphatase Inhibitor Design

Summer Science Program · Purdue · 2026

Selected as 1 of 35 researchers from 5,000+ applicants for the Summer Science Program biochemistry track at Purdue. 330+ hours modeling CDC14 serine phosphatase in MOE and RStudio across 35+ molecules — inhibitor docking and homology models aimed at blocking fungal growth — ending in a full research paper and poster presentation.

Occlusives and Transpiration in Vaccinium corymbosum

Plant Science · Published · Curieux Academic Review

An independent experimental study of how occlusive agents change leaf transpiration and water retention in highbush blueberry, using controlled mass-loss protocols and statistical comparison. Published in The Curieux Academic Review, December 2025.

Aphasia Representational Similarity Analysis

Neuroscience · Georgetown University · NIH Lab

Youngest intern in Georgetown's DARN Lab under Prof. Andrew DeMarco, working on NIH-funded research into word loss after stroke. Analyzed EEG data across 8+ subjects, and found and fixed critical errors in the RSA analysis script with an ICA workaround now used by undergraduate and PhD students.

AI Avatars in Instructional Video

AI in Education · Purdue University

PhD-level education research with Dr. Marisa E. Exter at Purdue after cold-emailing 50+ professors. Running a systematic literature review on how AI avatars affect perception, learning outcomes, retention, and psychological outcomes, screening abstracts and full texts in Covidence.
