About
Brendan Li

I'm a student at Chantilly High School in Northern Virginia. My work runs from enzyme inhibitor modeling at Purdue to chitosan-starch biopolymer composites, EEG analysis at Georgetown, and a waterless plant hydration startup used in three countries.

Research with a purpose

Every project starts with a problem someone actually has — drought, plastic waste, word loss after stroke — and ends with something measurable: a paper, a prototype, a customer, or a fix other researchers can use.

CDC14 Serine Phosphatase Inhibitor Design

Selected as 1 of 35 researchers from 5,000+ applicants for the Summer Science Program biochemistry track at Purdue. 330+ hours modeling CDC14 serine phosphatase in MOE and RStudio across 35+ molecules — inhibitor docking and homology models aimed at blocking fungal growth — ending in a full research paper and poster presentation.

Building community around what I love.

Match Point Foundation is my registered 501(c)(3), using racquet sports to make recreation accessible. Alongside it I coordinate youth workshops at Belong!, lead recruitment for Fairfax Relay For Life, and mentor incoming freshmen at my school.
